Sister Kate's Science Museum

About the show

Sister Kate, Seattle’s premier vintage chorus girl dance troupe, has been kicking up their heels to music from the 1920’s-1960’s since 2006.

This time they dance you through the history, the quirkiness, and the love of all things SCIENCE, as we invite you to wander the halls of our Chorus-Girl-Science-Museum-Spectacular!

Featuring a show-stopping 18 acts in this BRAND NEW show; Dancing Dinos, shimmying Volcanoes, spinning Planets, and prancing Geodes are just a few of the acts that will delight our audiences at the Rendezvous’ Jewelbox Theater, June 1-4.

Venue Info

This happens in the Rendezvous bar, is it 21+?

It is! This is a funny, sexy, and weird Science themed show with lots of badass dancing, but meant for the more adult crowd.

Are food and beverage available for purchase?

The Rendezvous has a full bar. Food is available for purchase in the bar. If you’d like to grab a bite, it’s recommended that you either eat before the show or after the show, taking advantage of the dining tables in the main bar/lounge area. Most of the seats in the theater won’t have a tabletop, so cocktails/drinks are easier to enjoy inside the theater.

You may purchase a drink at the bar to bring into the Jewelbox for the show, or wait for the server to come by in the theater before the show / during intermission.

Where should I park?

There is limited street parking available around the venue.

The closest parking lot is at 2311 2nd Ave, Seattle. The closest free parking is at 2315 Western Avenue.

Please refer to Parkopedia.com for information on various paid lots downtown.

Is seating Reserved or General Admission?

Seating is first come, first serve so make sure and come early!

If you see a “Reserved” sign on any seats, it’s likely a photographer or videographer’s spot.

Is the venue accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes! Please let us know if you will be needing accessible seating so we can make sure to reserve you an open spot up front 🙂

Are there any Covid guidelines I should know about?

The Rendezvous is following the same guidelines as other Washington State public spaces at this time. Masking isn’t required, but feel free to wear one if you like!

As always, if you feel under the weather at all, please consider staying home and/or contacting us to move your ticket to a different date. While the shows always sell out, we’ll do what we can to get you moved to a different date.

If you are questioning a recent exposure, please make sure to self-test before attending public theater shows and potentially exposing others, including performers.

Show Info + Ticket Questions

What time are doors for my showtime?

Doors for any given show are always 30 minutes prior.

Will there be an intermission?

Indeed! Likely just 15 minutes, so use the time to stand up, stretch your legs, hit the restroom, and grab another cocktail.

What on earth should I expect to see in a crazy jazzy chorus girl science show?!?!

You’ll see jazz numbers, burlesque numbers, and lots of silliness! You can expect dance numbers with a science theme: mycology, volcanology, chemistry and more!

Is this a burlesque show? Is it a cabaret show?

This is a funny and sexy cabaret show with a couple of burlesque numbers mixed in. Strap in for a while Science-y ride!

What kind of music will you be dancing to?

Only the best in vintage jazz-era recordings of the 1920s-1960s: Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Earl Bostic, Count Basie, Jelly Roll Morton, and so much more!

Am I allowed to take photos/videos during the show?

We ask that guests refrain from taking photos/videos during the performances, as we hire our own team of professional photographers/ videographers to take care of that for us 🙂

But feel free to grab photos with performers who may pop out after the show!

Will you have any sliding scale tickets?

There will be a limited number of sliding scale “pay what you can” tickets available for each show. If you’re interested in one of these, it is recommended that you get your ticket early!

I bought a ticket but now I want/need to switch to a different date/time. Is this possible?

You should be able to take care of this on your own using Eventbrite‘s how-to-guide.

PLEASE NOTE – you can only change your ticket to a different show IF there are seats available for the showtime you wish to attend. If you choose a show where only higher priced tier tickets are available, Eventbrite will ask you to pay the difference in ticket costs upon transfer.

If the show you wish to attend is sold out, you may join the waitlist for said showtime in the chance that a ticket opens up.

1. Confirm your ticket is eligible to transfer.

Transfers are not available for every event. You can’t transfer if:

  • The organizer does not allow transfers.
  • The ticket you want is not available.
  • The event has started.
  • Your ticket was free.

If you don’t see the option to transfer, contact the event organizer to ask about alternative options.

2. Go to Tickets.

Log in and click to expand the account menu (top-right of the page). Then select “Tickets”.

3. Select your order.

4. Click Transfer.

If you see the word “Transfer” next to your ticket, click to see the transfer options. You can only transfer one ticket at a time.

  • Change Event: Transfer to a different event managed by the same organizer.
  • Change Ticket: Transfer to a different ticket in the same event.

5. Review the Transfer Summary. Then choose “Continue Transfer”.

The transfer summary should reflect your new event or ticket.

6. Enter your registration information.

You may have to enter billing information for the price difference and/or fees. Transferring to a lower-priced ticket will not issue a refund.

7. Click “Place Order”.

You’ll receive a new order number, email confirmation, and ticket (for events with .PDF tickets).

I bought a ticket but can now no longer attend - may I get a refund?

We are allowing refunds up to 7 days of the event start date. You may handle this, yourself, through your Eventbrite account.

PLEASE NOTE – the ticketholder is responsible for paying the Eventbrite fees to process the refund.
